Blizzard has announced the end date of Season 11 and start date of Season 12:

Season 11 will be ending on the following dates and times:

North America: Friday, October 20 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
Europe: Friday, October 20 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
Asia: Friday, October 20 @ 5:00 p.m. KST

Season 12 will begin about three weeks afterward on the dates below:

North America: Thursday, November 9 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
Europe: Thursday, November 9 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
Asia: Thursday, November 9 @ 5:00 p.m. KST

Note: Season 12 will begin on a Thursday to ensure there is adequate time to respond to potential issues with Seasons before the weekend begins.

Necromancer and Patch 2.6.0 – Further Information

The Rise of the Necromancer is a purchasable content pack coming to Diablo III: Reaper of Souls and Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition. The pack will be available for purchase starting June 27, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and will cost $14.99 USD.

They also announced features, which are coming with Patch 2.6.0.

Q. What about all the other features coming in Patch 2.6.0?
A. Challenge Rifts, The Shrouded Moors zone, Temple of the Firstborn zone, and the Realms of Fate are all free content—if you own the Reaper of Souls expansion pack, they are available for play without any additional purchases.

The Necromancer will not be available to play right after it’s release. In order to play it, you have to wait for the maintenance and release of Patch 2.6.0.

Q. Will the Rise of the Necromancer pack be available for play at midnight?
A. No. The Rise of the Necromancer pack requires Patch 2.6.0 to be installed; after maintenance has completed in your region, you’ll be able to purchase and access the Rise of the Necromancer pack.

Here I’m sharing a relevant topic for groups who push for the top spots in 4-Player Leaderboards, because the top groups in every region are abusing this Wizard Archon Stacks Exploit to kill Rift Guardians fast. For the sake of fair competition, everyone should be aware of it.

Wizard Archon Stacks Exploit – Introduction

Recently, some 4-Player GR clears with Wizards instead of Demon Hunters appeared on the frontpage of the Leaderboards in every region. They have one thing in common. They’re abusing a bug to get an insane amount of Archon stacks on the Wizard. Due to it, the Wizard is able to kill a Rift Guardian in a GR 125+ in 2ish minutes without any pylon, while Demon Hunters need twice as much time: at least 4 minutes with a power pylon (times will go up in higher GR tiers; it’s times from GR clears of the top groups, who have near perfect gear, very high paragon/gem levels).

The bug/exploit isn’t anything new. Already in the beginning of the season, a video showing a Wizard 1-shotting a RG in a high tier GR has been published on reddit. The bug has been fixed on the PTR, but there hasn’t been a fix on the live servers yet – and will most likely not happen during the current season.

Wizard Archon Stacks Exploit – How To

This is an optimized version, which top groups are using!

  • Pull all monsters in the Weeping Hollow area into 1 spot close to the waypoint
  • Open a Cow Level and pull all monsters into 1 spot close to the portal
  • Now start fishing for a GR – save server (then you don’t have to do the first two steps again)
  • At around 95%, Wizard teleports to Weeping Hollow and kills the monsters to get Archon stacks and immediately goes back into the GR to deal damage to the Rift Guardian (this will already do 20-30% of the RGs life)
  • Now Wizard keeps dealing damage for about 1 minute to stack Bane of the Stricken
  • Wizard teleports into the Cow Level and kills the monsters to get Archon Stacks and immediately goes back into the GR to one-shot the RG

Wizard Archon Stacks Exploit – Hints

  • Stack CDR – You don’t need any Attack Speed on your items, because Archon Stacks will grant plenty of it due to Vyr’s Set (Due to the exploit, you will have Archon Stacks during the Rift Guardian fight – don’t worry about Attack Speed breakpoints)

No nerf for Spirit Barrage (Phantasms)

No Spirit Barrage nerf! Blizzards CM Nevalistis just shared the following info on the official forums!

Hey all,

There’s a lot of great discussion and a ton of build sharing going on around Legacy of Nightmares builds for the Witch Doctor that focus on the interaction between Spirit Barrage (Phantasms) and several pet-oriented Legendary powers. It’s wonderful to see such constructive conversation and information sharing as various community members explore the strengths and intricacies of this emergent gameplay.

There has also been some concern that this interaction will be nerfed. We wanted to share our thoughts on this today and reassure the Witch Doctor community that, at this time, we have no intentions to make changes to Spirit Barrage (Phantasms) or its currently existing interactions with items such as Mask of Jeram, Ring of Emptiness or The Barber.

While this is somewhat inconsistent philosophically from the changes that we’ve made in the past regarding this skill and rune combination, we looked at the situation objectively and asked ourselves a couple questions:

Is it fun?
Is it balanced?

Ultimately, we’ve decided that the answer to both of these questions is yes, and there is much higher risk in adjusting the balance of this skill or the other items than there is to let the community continue to enjoy this fun and unique build. We will continue monitoring its performance, of course, and we’re prepared to make any changes if something extreme arises. In the meantime, please continue to theorycraft and Spirit Barrage to your heart’s content!

Also #1 Solo WD Season and Non-Season in Asia were playing this build. Important note: Spirit Barrage – Phantasm summoned by the Mojo Gazing Demise benefits from pet damage: Enforcer, Mask of Jeram!
